Heavy Duty Fight Management (HDFM) have today revealed plans to launch a Centre of Excellence in Leeds city centre which will serve as a facility for elite MMA athletes from around the world.
HD, have come together with S&C coach David Hudson & Nutrition expert Jamie Carruthers to launch a facility specifically designed to complement the intense training already in place for elite MMA athletes & their coaching team.
Carl Messen commented ‘The centre will have a big focus on weight cut/diet & nutrition along with the Strength & Conditioning side of an athletes fight preparation. We have our own HD roster of athletes who will all have access to the facility & the ongoing detailed research we have already started on what we see as an extremely critical part of any athletes training camp.
Organisations such as the IMMAF (International Mixed Martial Arts Federation) & the UKMMAF (UK Mixed Martial Arts Federation) have already done extensive research into this area & we will be working closely with these Federations going forward.
We will be partnering up with some of the biggest names in the world of MMA, both athletes & coach’s who will be attending the centre & sharing their vast knowledge with the team going forward.
Our aim is to be a unique facility which helps get the best not just for our HD athletes but one which also builds a reputation for working with some of the best talent in the business both here in the UK & abroad..
Work has already started on the centre & we would like to think we will be ready to launch late summer 2017.’
